Other standards
Sustainable supply chains beyond timber
The principles are similar: traceability, due diligence and credible labelling.
- Rainforest Alliance
- The Sustainable Agriculture Standard covers requirements for farms and supply chain companies, e.g. for cocoa, coffee, tea and bananas. I led audits against Rainforest Alliance standards for many years.
- RSPO
- The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil certifies sustainable palm oil. Its supply chain standard covers the Identity Preserved, Segregated and Mass Balance models.
- ISCC PLUS
- Certification of bio-based, bio-circular and recycled feedstocks in chemicals, plastics, packaging and paper – with mass balance for credible claims.
- ASI
- The Aluminium Stewardship Initiative sets standards for responsible aluminium supply chains – from mining to processing.
